If only dogs could tell their story. This very sweet boy Baloo has a curious and sad past. He was clearly a loved family member at one time because he had a pricy surgery on his eyelids (for entropion). Somehow he ended up in harms way and was found as a stray, just hanging out at a rescue volunteer’s front gate. He was not microchipped and all efforts to find his family failed. Additionally, he has developed heart worms, and that signifies several months without proper preventative care. Please don’t let that fact keep you from considering this love bug. At his age, it is a very treatable condition.  Medications have already been purchased and initiated, and will go home with him to complete his treatment. We suspect that he was outside without protection for some time because he has NO desire to be outside now, and he does get anxious at the sounds of thunder. Although Baloo is only estimated to be 2-3 years old, he is an old soul. He is very mellow and docile. He prefers to keep his human in sight, but is not trying to get under foot. He has integrated well with big female dogs, smaller visiting puppies and both adult and baby kitties. He has been good with humans of all ages. EVERY person who has met him has quickly fallen in love. He will be the perfect fur baby in about any family, but his deep down wish is to have a human who is around most of the time for him to adore and be his chill bestie.

Baloo's adoption fee is $200 which includes  all vetting: neuter, microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea and heartworm treatment.
