From Angel's Foster: Angel showed up to eat with the feral girls I feed every night. He was very underweight and scruffy-looking, but he didn't seem feral. I trapped him and took him to the vet. Turned out he was already neutered. Between that and his gentle behavior, I'm certain he was someone's cat who just left him.
He combo test negative for FeLV, FIV and heartworm. I've been caring for him inside for about 6 weeks, treated him for any fleas/mites/parasites, and had him back to the vet for shots, just in case he hadn't been vaccinated by whoever owned him. He's gained weight and seems very healthy. The vet guesses he's 2-3 years old. He's on the small side - around 7.5 to 8 pounds.
I think he must have been around dogs at some point, because we spent about an hour waiting back in the vet's kennel area, and the dogs barking and such didn't bother him a bit. My other cats would have been completely freaked out. Angel was so calm we thought he might be deaf - he's not, by the way. I don't have dogs, but I think he'd be fine in a home that had dogs.
Angel is very quiet and calm. He purrs quietly, but I've never heard him meow. He mostly wants to nuzzle and be petted. He likes to purr while kneading his paws on his faux fur blanket. He enjoys playing a little with Da Bird and his catnip mousies, but he doesn't seem to have a very strong play drive. When he's had enough attention, he just likes to sit and hang out. He really seems like a little love bug.
Like all my fosters, Angel would come with a litter box setup and his favorite toys and such.
