Joy is a little black and white bobtail female rescued from the Cracker Barrel colony. Joy is bright-eyed, sweet, and easygoing, and loves attention and affection. Joy's spine was severely injured as a kitten and she was left to fend for herself under a muddy old trailer with her three siblings until an Animal Allies rescuer found her and took her into foster care. Joy has been evaluated by three different veterinarians who concluded that her injury caused a curvature of the spine, which has resulted in her rear leg tendons and muscles being very tight, giving her limited use of her rear legs. Joy is a trooper though, and she gets along great by utilizing her upper body to keep herself mobile and go where she wants to go. Joy has such a sweet, loving soul, and her long-term prognosis for gaining more mobility with her back legs is good with proper physical therapy and patience. Apply today to find out more about Joy and see if you could be the right person to help Joy fully recover and enjoy the happy long life she deserves.
